The Walton Family Whole Health & Fitness Center, managed by HealthFitness, is hiring for a Front Desk Manager in Bentonville, Arkansas. You will assist with front desk operations and deliver a positive experience with exceptional customer satisfaction to the eligible Walmart population. This position can have up to 20 direct reports (Lead Front Desk Receptionist, and Front Desk Receptionists both full & part-time).
Schedule: 40 hours/week, varied, Monday-Friday either 7am-4pm or 10am-7pm, must be willing to work every third weekend
Responsible for assisting with facility oversight of Front Desk operations and supporting special projects. Involves hiring and onboarding new staff, ongoing staff training, and assisting with scheduling. Provides a managerial presence at multiple departments, ensuring staff adherence to procedures and job responsibilities, and reporting staff performance to the Front Desk Director.
Key Accountabilities:
+ Supports HealthFitness Leadership and Walmart Liaison(s) in the development of front desk reception protocol and general customer service procedures. Supports the Front Desk Director with the development, interpretation, and enforcement of all systems, policies and procedures of the overall facilities, programs, and services.
+ Supports the Front Desk Director to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with HealthFitness policies, procedures and applicable laws including recruiting, orienting, and training, evaluating, developing, and planning the succession of front desk associates. Plans, assigns, and directs work assignments to ensure front desk staff remain challenged and productivity is maximized. Works with the Front Desk Director to lead regular staff meetings to ensure associates are informed about HealthFitness and Walmart business events.
+ Works with the Front Desk Director and Recruiting Assistant in the recruitment of Front Desk staff and the assigning of work. Supports with the submittal of employment forms, payroll records and billing worksheets accurately and according to contract provisions and HealthFitness policies.
+ Works with the Front Desk Director to ensure all front desk staff are properly trained; provides continuous feedback to all front desk staff to ensure quality customer service delivery and discuss strategies for improving the associate/member experience that supports grassroots positive customer/member satisfaction. Supports the Business Operations Director with formal performance appraisals and formal corrective action processes when warranted.
+ Supports the Front Desk Director to ensure the front desk staff have an awareness of membership sales initiatives, campaigns, marketing and communication content, and special events in order to deliver quality customer service and interpretation of program information to prospect and current members on a regular basis. Assists the Business Operations Coordinator with the tracking of membership sales and statistical outcomes reporting. Manages all front desk customer service activities in accordance with HealthFitness operational, quality, safety, and service standards.
+ Other duties as needed/assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Communication, or related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.
+ Adult/Infant and Child CPR/AED/First Aid certification from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, National Safety Council or American Safety & Health Institute required within 30 days of hire. Must be OSHA compliant with an in-person component.
+ Minimum of 3 year prior supervisory experience.
+ Strong leadership, team management, interpersonal and customer service skills in- person, social, on the telephone and via email; including the ability to motivate others.
+ Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands, meet deadlines, and collaborate with other business units.
+ Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook; and working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools.
+ An affinity and passion for fitness, recreation, and wellness.
+ Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test.
Preferred:
+ 1+ years’ experience working in the field of fitness, recreation, and wellness.
Compensation: $43,000-$46,000 per year. Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications.
