The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer! You will use your experience and leadership skills to migrate user support systems to the AWS cloud environment. This role offers a chance to leverage your expertise in cloud computing, security, and project leadership to drive innovation and ensure smooth transitions for our clients. Responsibilities:
+ Design and implement secure, compliant cloud-based solutions adhering to government standards like NIST SP 800-53
+ Collaborate across teams to create, test, and deploy reliable AWS-based systems
+ Develop migration strategies and cybersecurity guidance for transitioning from legacy to AWS environments
+ Assess and recommend cloud security technologies and services to enhance our offerings
Qualifications:
**Required** :
+ Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
+ Education and Experience: We value both education and hands-on experience. Candidates should have a combination of relevant technical experience and education, with requirements varying based on degree level:
+ 4-12 years of experience, depending on education level (High School Diploma/GED to Doctorate)
+ All degrees must be from accredited institutions in fields directly related to the position
+ Proven ability to engage with senior stakeholders on technical decisions, best practices, and risk management
+ Extensive experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS
+ Adaptability to rapidly evolving cloud technologies and infrastructure management tools
+ Outstanding communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
+ In-depth knowledge of network architecture and security principles
+ Understanding of security and compliance requirements for cloud solutions
Desired:
+ Associate-level or higher commercial cloud certification (AWS or Azure preferred)
+ Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework
+ Proficiency in AWS security services (IAM, SCPs, Config, Security Hub, GuardDuty, Inspector)
+ Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform) and related languages (YAML, JSON, Python)
+ Knowledge of automation tools like SaltStack, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
