The Financial Management and Reporting (FMR) Division provides administrative services internally with the agency, overseeing strategic and operational planning, performance management, financial management, internal controls, budget planning, human resources, and information technology. The division also provides the same support services to the Small Agency Resource Team (SmART) program, boards, and councils.
In this position, you will provide accounting and administrative support for FMR, other Admin divisions, and SmART State Agencies. Support services include accounts payable, accounts receivable, payment processing and reconciliation, expense reimbursement processing, collections, reporting, and other related tasks. This position serves a critical role in processing these transactions as the need and volume in our division continues to grow.
This position is eligible for up to a 50% hybrid telework arrangement. With a telework arrangement, onsite attendance will be required for team meetings or as requested by management to meet business needs. Completion of a telework agreement will be required. Minimum Qualifications
The following qualifications are required of all applicants seeking consideration for this position. Only applicants whose application materials clearly demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for the position:
+ Knowledge of accounting principles and practices sufficient to analyze, interpret, and verify financial information, records, and reports.
+ Customer service skills sufficient to respond respectfully and effectively to customers in-person, on the phone, and through email and other written correspondence.
+ Knowledge of communications sufficient to: (i) communicate effectively with internal and external customers; (ii) explain reasons for transactions and procedures, rules, and regulations so that others understand the information they are being given; and (iii) ability to present information to diverse customers.
+ Math skills sufficient to calculate, review, process, and reconcile financial data and balance accounts.
+ Data entry skills sufficient to: (i) receive and review source documents, compare documents to database information, and edit documents; and (ii) accurately input, verify, and edit electronic records and reports.
+ Skill in using word processing, spreadsheet, and other software applications, such as Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel), to prepare reports, financial statements, letters, memos, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience working with Online Electronic Inter Office Requisition (EIOR).
+ Experience in State fiscal systems such as SWIFT, SEMA4, SWIFT Data Warehouse, Document Direct, FileNet, or other comparable systems.
+ Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy working with numbers and crucial recordkeeping on a daily basis.
+ Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
+ Ability to interpret and explain accounting and related fiscal policies, procedures, and practices to customers.
