Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Hadoop Monitoring Engineer to support and enhance monitoring and alerting systems for Cloudera Hadoop in a large-scale environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with monitoring tools such as; Splunk, AutoSys, and Dynatrace, along with a strong Linux background and a proactive support mindset. This role requires collaboration with development and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues, investigate production incidents, and ensure optimal system performance. This candidate will be the main one responsible for building out the monitoring and alerting to support the cloudera hadoop environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions for Cloudera Hadoop.

Utilize Splunk for log analysis and troubleshooting in a Linux environment.

Support migration efforts from existing tools to Dynatrace for improved monitoring capabilities.

Participate in triage calls and work closely with engineering and development teams to resolve issues.

Proactively identify and address system urgencies in complex environments.

Provide production support and ensure application stability across various platforms.

Skills and Requirements

\#1- 3-5 years experience within Cloudera Hadoop

o Building out the monitoring and alerting

Experience with Splunk, AutoSys, and Dynatrace for system monitoring and troubleshooting.

Proficiency in Linux, with the ability to analyze logs and resolve performance issues.

Prior experience in a large-scale production environment handling urgent and complex system problems.

Strong communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.

A proactive approach to application support, incident investigation, and issue resolution. Hands-on experience with Hadoop administration and performance monitoring.

Knowledge of cloud-based infrastructures and distributed systems. null
