Adecco is assisting a top company in the area, recruiting for a **CNC Machine Operator** in **Salem, VA** !

+ **Location:** Salem, VA

+ **Pay** : $24.50 – $27.00 per hour

+ **Shift** : Monday – Friday, (04:30 PM - 03:00 AM [Lunch: 10:00 PM - 10:30 PM])

**What You’ll Do** :

+ Set up and operate both manual and CNC machines to make metal and plastic parts

+ Use machine shop knowledge, math, and procedures to produce high-quality parts

+ Follow process sheets to choose and install tools, offsets, and fixtures

+ Read engineering drawings and process plans to prepare machines

+ Perform first-piece inspections and use precision tools to check quality

+ Report any machine issues or process problems to the right people

+ Ensure all parts meet quality standards and production goals

+ Suggest improvements to make the manufacturing process better (like new tools or combining steps)

+ Monitor machine cycle times and keep the work area clean and organized

+ Follow all safety rules and company guidelines

+ Load programs, set offsets, and find machine zero points when needed

Who You’ll Work With:

You’ll be part of a skilled team in our Machine Shop. You’ll work with other machine operators and team members from different departments to make high-quality parts.

**What We’re Looking For** :

+ At least 5 years of machining experience

+ Experience with CNC mills and lathes

+ Able to read part drawings and use measuring tools

+ Good math, reading, and computer skills

+ High school diploma or GED

+ Able to follow written and spoken instructions

Physical Requirements:

+ Stand and walk often

+ Lift up to 20 lbs often, and up to 50 lbs sometimes

+ Work in a loud, dusty, or warm environment (within safety limits)

**Pay Details:** $24.50 to $27.00 per hour
