    The Network Simulation Manager is responsible for overseeing all simulation related activity throughout the St. Luke’s University Heath Network. Ensures organized use, growth and development of simulation. Provides oversight to the Temple/St. Luke’s School of Medicine, St. Luke’s School of Nursing simulation activities and collaborate with members of key stakeholders to meet current needs and identify future opportunities. Manages the Simulation Technicians in the School of Medicine and School of Nursing who will be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment where needed.

    JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Oversee and maintain inventory, scheduling and requests for all simulation activity centrally

    + Establish measures to track use, costs, benefits and return on investment of clinical simulation activities across the network

    + Seek out feedback from key stakeholders and monitor current and future simulation initiatives

    + Develop an annual plan to determine the most efficient methods to serve the simulation needs of all Network campuses

    + Oversee procurement and installation of new simulation equipment. Configure, maintain, and repair simulators, computers, and audiovisual equipment

    + Collaborate and consult with Regional Medical School faculty, School of Nursing, Program Directors of internship, residency and fellowship, clinical educators, risk management and Quality Resources Departments on various aspects of simulation

    + Develop policies and procedures for simulation use

    + Seek opportunities for further incorporation of Standardized Patients into St. Luke’s University Health Network education initiatives

    + Oversee Standardized Patient program for all case presentations to achieve efficient and effective delivery in clinical sessions ensuring standardized, high quality, and effective feedback delivery to learners

    + Liaison with Temple University School of Medicine to ensure all scheduled simulation & standardized patient activities are in alignment and comparable to Temple University School of Medicine Main Campus

    PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

    Must be able to sit for at least 4 hours at a time. Must be able to stand for up to 5 hours per day. Must be able to walk 3 hours per day. Must be able to hear as it relates to normal conversation. Must be able to see as it relates to general and near vision.

    EDUCATION:

    Bachelor's degree required. Master’s degree in Instructional Technology, Healthcare specialty, or comparable field preferred.

    EXPERIENCE:

    Minimum of 5 years directly related experience required. Clinical background required (e.g., Registered Nurse, Paramedic, Respiratory Therapist, etc.). Current certification in the field is not required. Knowledge and operation of simulation technology is required. 3 years in medical education, health and/or education background preferred.
