Construction Project Manager – Self-Perform & Municipal Projects

• Location: Watervliet, NY

About the Role

+ We’re looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead complex municipal, K-12, water/wastewater, and ground-up building projects.

+ This role requires expertise in self-perform construction, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong client relationships and seamless team coordination.

Key Responsibilities

+ Manage all phases of construction projects from pre-construction to closeout.

+ Oversee self-perform work, optimizing labor, equipment, and materials.

+ Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts.

+ Ensure compliance with municipal regulations, permitting, and inspections.

+ Monitor progress, mitigate risks, and resolve issues to keep projects on track.

+ Lead team meetings, fostering collaboration and clear communication.

+ Negotiate contracts, change orders, and subcontractor agreements.

+ Enforce safety protocols, ensuring a secure work environment.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of project management experience with a self-performing contractor

• Proven experience managing municipal projects, K-12 schools, water/wastewater treatment, and ground-up construction

• Strong budgeting, scheduling, and leadership skills

• Familiarity with construction management software (Procore, Primavera, etc.)

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required)

• Certifications like PMP, CCM, OSHA 30 (a plus)

• Experience with public sector clients & municipal permitting processes

• Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently

• Strong contract negotiation & administration expertise

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $47.00 - $57.00/hr.
