Office Hours:
Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM
Your scheduled hours: 7:45 AM–4:45/5 PM
Overview:
We are seeking a Certified Front Office Medical Assistant to join our breast oncology clinic in Cedar Park, TX. This role is ideal for someone who excels in patient interaction, administrative support, and compassionate care. As part of a specialized breast cancer care team, you will play a vital role in supporting patients and families through their treatment journey, ensuring smooth front-office operations and a welcoming, empathetic environment. This position is a contract only to support someone going out on leave. There is possibility of it becoming permeant.
Responsibilities:
+ Warmly greet patients and caregivers, ensuring a supportive and comforting experience.
+ Assist with check-in/check-out procedures, prioritizing efficiency and accuracy.
+ Schedule and manage appointments, optimizing patient flow and provider availability.
+ Verify insurance information, process prior authorizations, and ensure financial clarity for patients.
+ Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) using Athena 1, ensuring precision and confidentiality.
+ Answer phone calls, provide patient support, and coordinate vital office communications.
+ Assist providers with medical documentation and patient intake, ensuring smooth clinical workflow.
+ Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, maintaining a clean, organized, and comforting office space.
Qualifications:
• Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) – preferred.
• Experience in a front-office medical setting, ideally in oncology, hematology, or chronic care environments.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered mindset.
• Proficiency in EMR systems, scheduling software, and insurance verification (Athena 1 experience preferred).
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, emotionally sensitive medical environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
