Position: Hardware Test Engineer
Are you passionate about advancing healthcare technology? Join our Acute Care Technology Research & Development team as a Hardware Test Engineer and play a key role in developing and maintaining cutting-edge test systems for life-saving medical devices.
What You’ll Do
As a Hardware Test Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of electronic test systems for ventilation devices and specialty products. This is a hands-on, technically focused role with opportunities to contribute to project planning and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Design, build, and maintain electronic test systems and fixtures for disposable electrodes and specialty products. Integrate hardware, software, and mechanical components (e.g., sensors) into test systems.
+ Develop embedded systems (microcontroller-based) for test equipment.
+ Ensure compliance with FDA/IEC standards and internal design control procedures.
+ Create and maintain detailed documentation: system architecture, schematics, software, V&V plans, and more.
+ Support product development, quality assurance, and production teams in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
+ Contribute to project planning, including scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.
What You Bring
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (required).
+ 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
+ Strong background in embedded system development (hardware and software).
+ Experience in the medical device industry or other regulated environments (preferred).
+ Proficiency in LabVIEW for test system development (required).
+ Familiarity with IEC 60601 standards (a plus).

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
