    Associate Scientist

    Experience Level: Entry-Level

    Education: M.S. with 1+ year of experience preferred; B.S. with 3+ years acceptable

     

    We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bioanalytical Scientist with hands-on laboratory experience and strong expertise in HPLC to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, particularly in bioanalytical assays such as Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC), Ion Exchange Chromatography (IEX), and basic analytical techniques including pH, osmolality, and protein concentration measurements.

     

    This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Conduct and monitor experiments with minimal supervision, ensuring reproducibility and reliability of results.

    + Analyze and interpret experimental data; maintain accurate and organized records.

    + Adapt and implement experimental methods from literature; develop and optimize protocols.

    + Operate and troubleshoot standard lab equipment and analytical instruments (e.g., HPLC, CE).

    + Collaborate in a matrix team environment and communicate findings clearly to colleagues.

    + Contribute to technical reports, presentations, regulatory documents, and patent submissions.

    + Participate in departmental initiatives such as safety programs and team committees.

    + May provide training or supervision to junior staff.

    Qualifications:

    + Education:

    + M.S. in Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biology, or related field with 1+ year of relevant experience

    + OR B.S. with 3+ years of relevant experience (M.S. preferred)

    + Skills

    + Proficiency in HPLC and other chromatographic techniques (SEC, IEX)

    + Familiarity with basic assays: pH, osmolality, protein concentration

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    + Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

    + Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

    Preferred Experience:

    + Prior work in a biopharmaceutical or bioanalytical lab setting

    + Experience with method development and protocol optimization

    + Familiarity with regulatory compliance and documentation standards

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
