SUMMARY OF THE JOB :
Reporting directly to the Bank’s Analytics Strategy Leader, this position will assist in the development and implementation of analytical and automation solutions in support of the entire Liberty Bank franchise.
The ideal candidate will need to embrace a broad range of tasks associated with developing data, application mastery, system/reporting solutions to address business challenges across Liberty Bank. In addition, the candidate will need to demonstrate proficiency with data analysis and interpretation, with the ability to communicate quantitative/qualitative information and key messages in a clear, compelling way (storyboarding with data converted into information with an illustrative design) that is flexible to suit different audiences (from executive to business-line level).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
In order to advance our overall data and analytics strategy and capabilities for the Bank we require teammates with the following skills:
+ Ability to turn thoughts/ideas/strategies into actionable information through leveraging the Project Phoenix Data Platform.
+ The development and continuous enhancement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), Key Risk Indicators, metrics, thresholds, and dashboards throughout the Liberty Bank franchise
+ Provide innovative thinking on how data management, reporting, and analytics can support the business goals in an efficient and effective manner, including automation and streamlining of processes.
+ Management of a culture of accuracy, meeting analytical and regulatory standards.
Be able to deliver under tight time limits with multiple key stakeholders with diverse needs/ requirements.
+ Create insights through thoughtful data reporting and analytics.
+ Well-developed business acumen and analytical capabilities with the ability to consolidate input into clear, concise analysis and recommendations .
+ Ability to maintain expert knowledge and inventory of all main data sources used within the Bank, with the ability to leverage/integrate data as required. Lead efforts to continuously enhance, improve or automate data &/or reporting processes within the team.
+ Collaborate and lead discussions with business partners to understand business objectives and resolve problems/issues, in order to provide fact-based analytical advice and value-added business intelligence deliverables (including ad hoc data extracts) or assist in next year’s planning (to understand and execute any changes to metrics & dashboards or allows the business to track additional metrics as required)
Minimum knowledge/skills:
+ Ideal candidate should have 4+ years of experience in business reporting/business insights and analysis development, is knowledgeable and savvy with new technology and tools
+ Very strong proficiency in using business intelligence, analytics, and/or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, think-cell, etc.) – exposure to programming and data environments (e.g., SQL, VBA, SAS, Hadoop, R, Python, etc.) considered an asset.
+ Strong comfort accessing large data sources, performing mining, extractions, and manipulations to uncover relevant data findings and big picture stories.
+ Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, MS Word, MS Outlook.
+ Strong analytically-anchored critical thinking skills – a logical and analytical thinker with strong critical reasoning skills, proactively identifies risks and issues, recommends solutions, challenges the status quo.
+ Energetic, enthusiastic, pro-active initiative-taker – willing to “roll up the sleeves” to deliver results in the short-term while building for the long-term; agile, adaptable, “can-do” attitude, high degree of responsiveness and initiative.
+ Strong oral and written skills and demonstrated ability to digest complex information and summarize in a clear, concise fashion (for executive-level consumption).
+ Demonstrated relationship building skills – proficient collaborator who successfully engages colleagues, business-line, and infrastructure/support partners in a matrix environment, makes things happen through using positive influence.
+ Robust organizational skills, able to work in a challenging environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities, with a proven history of executing with excellence and making an impact.
