_Looking for a CERTIFIED Phlebotomist or Medical Assistant with 2+ years of experience performing venipunctures to start working immediately with a well-established laboratory clinic!_

**Schedule:** PART TIME ONLY. M-F 8am-12:30pm

**Pay:** $19/hr-$21/hr

**Location:** Gonzales, LA

**Type of Job:** Contract with potential conversion

_Responsibilities:_

+ Responsible for accurately obtaining blood samples via venipuncture and capillary collection procedures with minimum customer discomfort.

+ Follows laboratory procedures for specimen collection and handling.

+ Correctly identifies patient and properly labels specimens.

+ Correctly identifies proper priority for collection process.

+ Utilizes resources for proper collection and processing of requested tests.

+ Understands and follows all safety, infection control, and OSHA Blood Borne Pathogen guidelines.

+ Understands and follows all HIPAA guidelines.

_Qualifications:_

+ High School Diploma or equivalent

+ 2+ years of experience performing Venipunctures.

+ Good Attendance and Computer skills

+ Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians is preferred, but not required.
