We're on the lookout for a driven and innovative **Senior Manufacturing Engineer** to play a key role in shaping the future of our thriving operations.

     

    In this pivotal position, you will take the lead in developing detailed manufacturing processes, including routings, time studies, and N/C programs. You’ll evaluate new product releases with a keen eye for design and manufacturability, and collaborate on recommendations for cutting-edge equipment and tooling. As a bridge between Engineering and Operations, you’ll deliver critical shop floor support to elevate collaboration, coordination, and execution across departments.

     

    _Please Note: This position is a 100% onsite role located at our Riceville, Iowa facility. We offer a comprehensive relocation package to qualified candidates._

    YOUR IMPACT:

    These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

     

    + Responsible for completion of a project or parts of multiple projects of complexity on time and utilize lean/six sigma principles and methodologies in making process improvements.

    + Have a good understanding of takt time and cycle time and capable of doing calculations to define takt time and setup production line with respect to it.

    + Perform time studies for the current line and analyze imbalance in the line and do line balancing.

    + Create Yamazumi charts for line balancing.

    + Propose changes required to balance the line to operations team and get it implemented.

    + Collaborate as needed with other engineering business support disciplines internally as well as suppliers externally. May have exposure to the external customers and/or industry organizations.

    + Performs complex engineering calculations, investigations, and prepares delivery of plans, designs, computation methods and/or reporting.

    + Identification, analysis, and assessment of manufacturing processes for transformative change improvements.

    + Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal and external customers, and outside resources concerning technical issues.

    + Manage the development of timely and accurate N/C programs to aid in efficiency in production.

    + Assist in new tooling and equipment launch projects.

    + Processing and implementing engineered change notifications throughout the facility. Create standard work instructions for the changes and coordinate changes with operations team.

    + Assists in design for manufacturability for new product development through participation on cross functional product design teams. Establishes production process procedures and measurement parameters for new products and processes. Provides marketing and engineering with cost of new, redesigned, and current products.

    + Determine appropriate assembly fixturing that are complex in nature.

    + Review and select required special tooling and equipment.

    + Determine and improve processes to meet production levels.

    + Collaborate with Production/Operations team and product Engineering teams.

    + Develop and support recommendations for new equipment and tooling.

    + Responsible for execution of assigned CI projects; also responsible for identifying projects that may lead to improved safety, service, quality, and cost.

    + Create & provide capital improvement justification for improvements in quality & cost.

    + Provide technical mentorship and guidance to others within the Engineering organization.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering or related field.

    + Five (5) or more years of experience.

    Pay Range:

    $82,000.00 - $132,800.00

     

    The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
