    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    This position is a professional accounting position working in the Division of Blind Services (DBS) Fiscal Office within the Bureau of the Comptroller. The incumbent must be able to process payments/reimbursements correctly/timely.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Specific responsibilities include:

    + Responsible for mailing all division state warrants. Match warrants with invoicing, verify information is correct and put in envelopes for mailing on a daily basis.

    + Back up for printing vouchers, log in logbook and distribute to co-workers daily.

    + Responsible for all incoming and outgoing mail and make sure it is delivered to the appropriate person and has the correct date stamp on a daily basis.

    + Process purchase requisitions in MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP) and reconcile MFMP to FLAIR on a monthly basis.

    + Maintain the 12-month Outstanding Warrant List, contact vendors, clients, as well as DBS counselor to determine the status of the warrant. Request for cancellation or duplicate as needed.

    + Verify and approve all other warrant cancellations. Request copies of endorsed warrants as needed.

    + Incumbent will be responsible for auditing monthly Grants & Donations and Daytona Rehabilitation Center bank statements.

    LEAVE INFORMATION: CAREER SERVICE

    + Annual Leave - All full-time Career Service employees filling established positions earn annual leave in varying increments dependent upon years of creditable service. Employees with up to 5 years of creditable service earn 8.667 hours per month, with 5 to 10 years earn 10.833 hours per month and those with over 10 years of service earn 13 hours per month.

    + Sick Leave – Career Service employees earn 8.667 hours of sick leave credits per month.
