What You'll Be Doing
**Job Scope:** Generally responsible for technical direction over technical onsite communications at an industrial site in Delisle, MS. This level requires extensive progressive experience in communication software and hardware, electrical and instrumentation communication, configuration, etc. and involves utilization of project controls for cost, schedule and quality of projects associated with needs at the site. This work will be performed under minimal supervision.
Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
+ Work closely with Cisco hardware provider to support onsite needs in regard to maintenance, configuration, installation, etc.
+ Work closely with project teams to support electrical, fiber, and other needs for projects including devices, switches, etc.
+ Work closely with contractors for fiber installation, proposals/quotes for needs for installation, etc.
+ Work as site liaison for these activities with contractors to share site specific and nuances of the area.
+ Performs site walkdowns throughout the facility to support ongoing technical efforts for IT and communication needs.
+ Assists with process controls team in various capacities.
+ Maintain fiber infrastructure for site.
+ Maintain 2 phone systems for site (Skype/Teams & analog) and all maintenance.
+ Safety communication champion.
+ Responsible for maintaining all paging systems, systems backups, maintenance, & configuration. (Input & Output).
Ideal Background
**Education:** Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting is required.
**Experience:** This position requires 10+ years of relevant industrial experience in electrical / instrumentation and communication.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
+ Familiarity with the current version of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
+ Able to determine motor control center loading.
+ Familiarity with specifications and installation details of construction bulk materials and equipment.
+ Ability to create accurate electrical installation documents from the information found on vendor equipment drawings.
+ Ability to determine load center unit substation loading.
+ Knowledge and understanding of work flow/information flow between disciplines.
+ Knowledge and understanding of schedule constraints and information requirements for the production of all electrical deliverables.
+ Ability to accurately estimate completion of assigned tasks.
+ Ability to determine load center unit substation loading.
+ Ability to develop equipment specifications for 480VAC equipment such as, motor control centers, variable frequency drivers, induction and synchronous motors, load center unit substations, etc. with engineering review and approval.
+ Ability to produce a 15kV power system equipment and installation techniques both above and below ground.
+ Familiarity with 15kV power system equipment and installation techniques both above and below ground.
+ Ability to develop equipment specifications for 15kV/5kV equipment such as, switchgear, load break switches, motor control centers, etc. and capable of performing calculations for required short circuit and overcurrent protective device ratings with engineering review and approval.
+ Ability to develop electrical installation specifications with engineering review and approval.
+ Ability to develop a construction cost estimate, a detailed engineering schedule and a man-hour budget for a small project or an area for a larger project.
+ Ability to determine construction material quantities.
+ Developing design criteria and scope of work.
+ Forecasting hours to complete professional services.
+ Developing staffing plans based on deliverables to be produced and the project schedule.
+ Identifying information required and proactively obtaining it.
+ Coordinating with other disciplines regarding design development, changes, etc.
+ Knowledge and application of company engineering design and CAD drafting standards.
+ Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
+ Working knowledge of 2D AutoCAD and Microstation.
+ Programming experience with Programmable Logic controller (PLC), Human Machine Interface (HMI), and/or Distributed Control System (DCS) equipment.
+ Ability to lead a small team to deliver on commitments.
+ Ability to coordinate with the process group to provide efficient equipment layouts and space usage.
+ Ability to deliver presentations of Hargrove Engineers & Constructors services.
+ Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
+ Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
+ Virtual team skills and cross divisional relationships are highly developed and able to provide interoffice execution support with no supervision. Interoffice execution Leader is developed and visible.

+ Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
