Adjunct Faculty, French Horn Instructor - Department of Music
The Rowan University Department of Music announces an Adjunct Professor of Horn position (part-time, non-tenure track) to begin September 1, 2025. The successful candidate will join a thriving music program with a proud and long-standing tradition of excellence in in Education, Performance, Music Therapy, and Music Industry and Business. The Department of Music is committed to providing collaborative opportunities and inclusive programming for its nearly 400 music majors. This Adjunct Horn Professor must demonstrate excellence as a teacher of French Horn, as well as significant experience and accomplishment as a performer, and brass chamber music coach. A master's degree in music is required.
The primary responsibility of the position is to teach weekly applied lessons for undergraduate students. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with the Brass Division Faculty in performance and recruiting, and the Director and Associate Director of Bands on auditions and recruiting.

Salary:
+ In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, and in accordance with the current MOA, Rowan University adjuncts are provided with $1975 per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year. Courses will be assigned to instructors by College & Department on an as-needed basis. Adjunct Faculty who have taught 12 or more semesters at the individual College/University will receive an additional $75 per credit. A semester is defined as Fall or Spring.
