The role you’ll contribute** **:
The Director, Business Development reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for business development strategies, implementation, physician relations, and other areas as assigned by the CEO. This position is responsible for developing new lines of business and leads all activities related to physician network development, physician staffing, and other related goals. Works with the physician relations team to build relationships with physicians to increase business, gauge market intelligence and drive business to the hospital. Collaborates with Medical Staff Services to maintain a comprehensive Medical Staff Development Plan and supports recruitment of physicians as directed by that plan.
The value you’ll bring to the team** **:
• Works collaboratively with the Director of Marketing to develop strategic direction that supports identified business initiatives, message development, execution of hospital and system-wide volume-driving advertising and/or branding plans.
• Assists in consumer marketing campaigns/strategies including but not limited to, advertising, marketing, community relations, special events, community sponsorships, customer service and identifies new business opportunities in order to develop relationships with key corporate entities/partners.
• Develops and provides strategic direction and messaging for building loyalty to the hospital through various communication vehicles such as print, direct mail, online and events.
• Enhances professional growth and development of self and others through development of educational curriculum/workshops, tools and strategies for growth.
• Coordinates strategies to competitively differentiate and build market preference for the system's branded services.
• Oversees the system's messaging and design and provides strategic and operational direction to the internal communication process with key stakeholder groups: Employees and physicians
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed** **:
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or similar field upon hire
• 3 years of experience with proven results in healthcare business development or leadership role that includes management of key functions: physician relations, marketing and planning, promotional plan development, strategic and business plan development upon hire
