    Job Summary:

    The Vice President, Corporate Services, is a keymember of the Cooperative’s Senior Leadership team, responsible for ensuring HumanResources, Safety & Training, Corporate Security and Investigations andother assigned areas align with and support the strategic direction of the Cooperative\.This position is responsible for planning, managing, and directing all areas ofHuman Resources, including leadership and career development, successionplanning, compensation, and benefits\. This position is responsible for settingpolicies, practices, and processes, and implementing them in compliance withall applicable laws and regulations\. The position leads the Safety culture acrossthe Cooperative, maintains the security of the GreyStone headquarters andassets across our service territory, and is responsible for corporaterepresentation in the communities GreyStone serves\.

    Key Responsibilities:

    99. Actively participates with the Senior Leadership Team to develop, refine, and implement the strategic plan, while promoting strong, Cooperative\-wide collaboration and requiring the same of all management within the division\.

    99. Plans, develops, organizes, implements, directs, and evaluates the organization’s Human Resource, Safety & Training, and Corporate Security departments\.

    99. Leads and directs the Affirmative Action Compliance Program\.

    99. Leads organizational strategies related to recruitment, employee development, retention, andpersonnel actions, including hiring, terminations, performance appraisals, compensation, etc\.

    99. Leads the strategy and implementation for employee total rewards to include benefits and compensation philosophy\.

    99. Oversees and develops programs, policies, and procedures to assure compliance with regulatory requirements\.

    99. Sets the strategic direction for a strong safety culture throughout the organization and ensures full compliance with safety accreditation requirements, OSHA regulations, etc\.

    99. Ensures necessary training and safety protocols are in place for Operations apprentice staff and other required roles – in close coordination with the VP, Operations\.

    99. Leads strategy to physically secure company assets, including Corporate headquarters and field resources, and oversees theft investigations, evaluates fiscal impact, and ensures Member safety\.

    99. Prepares policies, procedures, and resolutions, as necessary, and ensures operational compliance with all bylaws, service rules and regulations, and board policies\.

    99. Leads the strategy for minimizing company risk exposure, including oversight of insurance coverage and engagement with providers\.

    99. Assists in negotiating contracts for services throughout the division to ensure financial stewardship and sound company decisions\.

    99. Coordinates efforts to acquire and retain key market data from industry sources\.

    99. Assists with development of retail rates for all rate classes as a part of the Retail Rates team\.

    99. Develops and manages the annual budget and allocation of resources for the Corporate Services division – in coordination with the CAO and VP, Finance & Accounting\.

    99. Manages personnel actions for the Cooperative, including hiring, terminations, performance appraisals, compensations recommendations, etc\. as well as those specific to the Corporate Services division\.

    99. Builds a cohesive, team\-oriented division that focuses on meeting the needs of the Cooperative\.

    99. Represents the company in civic and professional associations and acts as an ambassador to the local community to promote positive relationships and strong partnership for the benefit of the organization\.

    99. Develops, nurtures, and encourages relationships with federal, state, and local officials that will foster solid two\-way communication and lend strength to positions held by the Cooperative\.

    99. Acts in a position of trust and maintains confidential information\.

    99. Performs other duties and projects as assigned by the Chief Administrative Officer\.

    Required Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    + Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, Management, or related field required\.

    + Master’s in business administration \(MBA\) or related field preferred\.

    + Juris Doctor preferred\.

    + Ten years of experience in human resources, employment law, Safety and Training, or related field preferred; managerial experience preferred\.

    + In\-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards, particularly within the utility sector\.

    + Requires a valid Georgia driver's license\.

    + Satisfactorily pass GreyStone's pre\-employment physical examination, drug screen, criminal and credit background check\.Critical Thinking Skills

    + Energetic, forward\-thinking, and creative with high ethical standards\.

    + Has skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with people and organizations, demonstrating a strong commitment to the professional development of staff\.

    + Experienced team builder and leader that will ethically and effectively represent GreyStone in a professional manner at all times, promoting a culture that reflects the company’s values\.

    + Ability to set clear priorities, delegate, and guide investment in people and systems\.

    + Keen analytic, organization, and problem\-solving skills which support and enable sound decision making\.

    + Ability to work well in high\-pressure situations while maintaining composure and objectivity\.

    + Ability to identify potential issues or constraints, develop methodologies and approaches to resolve, and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately\.

    + Ability to assimilate complex information and data from various sources and consider, adjust, or modify to meet the constraints of the need\.

    + Ability to effectively comprehend and clarify concerns and issues expressed by stakeholders\.

    Financial Management Skills

    + Ability to understand financial statements and assess divisional impacts to expenses and the bottom line\.

    + Ability to understand and monitor variances in actual results to plan\.

    Technology and Communication Skills

    + Proficient command of Office Productivity Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills to prepare business correspondence, reports, and presentations with speed and accuracy\.

    + Skill in writing grammatically correct routine business correspondence such as letters, emails, meeting minutes, and other documents as required\.

    + Ability to make oral group presentations to persuade others to accept a specific opinion, action and/or provide information or explain procedures, policies, etc\.

    + Ability to interact with individuals at all levels and experience in facilitation /resolving conflicts between different parties to a dispute\.

    This is a diversified job in a general office environment requiringsitting and using a computer as well as requiring sustained mental effortrelated to public contacts, organizational issues, planning and technicalareas, public speaking, and non\-standard business hours\. Some business traveland occasional driving is required\.
