The role you’ll contribute:
The Director of Security directs the functions of Security and Safety in the hospital, on the campus and other related facilities. Providing superb leadership and mentoring of Security Officers to develop them to the AHSS standard. Develop a relationship of trust with the hospital management and leaders so that you can best keep your fingers on the pulse of the needs of the facility and develop customer perspectives of your department performance. Provides strategic leadership, advice and counsel in the planning, development and organization of security, safety and emergency management. Administers and maintains policies to ensure the physical safety of all visitors, patients and staff as well as all property and assets owned by the organization. Provides programs that ensure a safe workplace including safety orientations, skill training, emergency preparedness, proper job instruction, and the use of protective equipment. Develops a systemic process to collect data and analyze the causes of accidents and generate required reporting. Works collaboratively with senior leadership and departmental leaders, and works in partnership with Facilities Management, Infection Control Quality, Risk Management, and Human Resources. Primary contact and liaison for local law enforcement and other safety and regulatory agencies on safety and security. Coordinates the activities of employees performing safety and security functions and supervises their actions through departmental leaders.

+ Oversees Security and Safety for the campus and its patients, visitors, staff, vendors, physicians, etc.
+ Able to assess risk and take appropriate action. Provides education to leadership on security and safety risks and response.
+ Maintains operating expenses within budget.
+ Assists the Executive Director of Facilities in the Management of the Emergency Management program. In the following functions:
+ Acting as a liaison between Federal, State, and Local emergency planners.
+ Ensuring that emergency plans and activities meet local and state requirements.
+ Implementing emergency management grants from state when received.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed** **:
**Minimum qualifications** :
+ Associate’s degree
+ 10 Years of Position-Related Experience
**Minimum preferred** :
+ Bachelor’s Degree
