    Job Purpose

     

    Responsible for the development and execution of sales strategy for multiple locations in an assigned region or sub-region, providing leadership and management oversight to Outside Sales Representatives.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities** **(not all inclusive)

     

    Individual must be able to perform the essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

     

    + Lead and manage the outside sales workforce within an assigned sub-region, which includes resource planning, selection, onboarding, performance management, and development.

    + Ensure appropriate on-site customer presence, customersatisfaction, and relationship management.

    + Partner with Regional Leadership to develop and execute the sub-region sales plan, in alignment with regional and company strategy, that includes - sub-region sales forecast, existing non-managed accounts, targeted growth accounts, and new business.

    + Managed accounts (in partnership with Business Development)

    + Any other sales activity

    + Identify underperforming markets, develop and execute strategies with regional leadership to increase market share.

    + Obtain and communicate market intelligence, including customer activity, competitor activity, and potential new activity.

    + Prepare and review market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, pricing, etc. And act accordingly on the information.

    + Prepare regular sales reports for the sub-region as directed (at least monthly).

    + Coordinate sales training on product specifications and other requests for the sales team and customers, as needed.

    + Keep management informed of sub-region sales and customer performance.

    + Provide advice on matters that are mutually pertinent to the area and MRC’s overall strategy.

    + Collaborate with the Regional Leadership team to ensure that overall regional goals are achieved.

    + Closely coordinate efforts with Regional Operations Manager(s).

    + Optimize the use of standard MRC business practices related to sales.

    + Manage confidential information relating to product and resale costs and expense items.

    + Set clear expectations, communicate consistently, delegate responsibility, and hold people accountable, while also encouraging strengths and addressing weaknesses.

    + Provide timely, candid feedback.

    + Take reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and others.

    + Report workplace hazards, injuries, or illnessesimmediately.

     

    E** **ducation, Experience, & Ability Requirements

     

    Any combination of requirements that provides knowledge & abilities necessary to perform essential duties and responsibilities will be considered.

     

    + An undergraduate degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience that provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

    + Proven ability to motivate a sales force and drive results through people.

    + Willingness and ability to travel within and outside the region regularly to include overnight and consecutive night stays.

    + Sales or marketing experience and/or inside or outside sales experience in the related industry.

    + Valid Driver’s License with the ability to meet and maintainappropriate status with the MRC vehicle/driver policy.

    Additional Qualifications

    + Must have the ability to provide documentation verifying legal work status.

    + Ability to read and speak the English language proficiently in order to communicate with others, understand and interpret safety instructions, and respond to inquiries.

    + Ability to understand and comply with MRC guidelines and expectations, including Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest guidelines.

    Salary Range

    + $121,600 - $191,300 depending on position qualifications, job related skills and experience, education, certifications, and geographic location.
