Job overview and responsibilities
The Senior Software Developer will be responsible for the development of critical applications (PRA, Refunds, International Taxes, Ticketing Server App), while working with a team of developers. This role will design, develop, document, test and debug new and existing applications. Additionally, this role will build these applications with a focus on delivering cloud-based solutions, especially modernization of Refunds and PRA applications. The individual will use groundbreaking technologies and enterprise grade integration software daily and will be relied upon to help take the team to the next level from a technological standpoint. This hybrid role is based in Houston, Texas.
• Full-Stack Development: Design, develop, and maintain both front-end and back-end components of on Prem and Cloud Based solutions, ensuring a seamless user experience and robust backend performance
• Integration Development: Design and implement robust integrations using AWS services, APIs, and ETL processes. Ensure seamless data flow between the system and other financial and operational applications.
• Modernization Projects: Lead initiatives to modernize legacy systems, leveraging AWS, .NET, C#, and PL/SQL, Aurora Postgres, Oracle DB to transition to a modern tech stack.
• Performance Optimization: Continuously evaluate and optimize the performance of the system and its integrations. Write performance-optimized queries for analytics to ensure high reliability and performance standards.
• Data Analysis: Utilize advanced analytics tools to manipulate, analyze, and visualize data, enhancing the system's capability to support data-driven decision-making.

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
+ Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience in Computer Science, Engineering , Mathematics or related field
+ At least 4+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on system integration and custom software development
+ Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of AWS cloud services, including specific technologies relevant to system integration and application modernization on AWS.
+ System Integration: Experienced in API management and ETL processes, with a proven track record of developing complex integrations in a financial context
+ Experience with data hub, data analysis tools and techniques to support data-driven decision-making.
+ Experience participating in architecture boards and bringing outside perspectives to improve system design.
+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
+ Master’s degree in computer science or related field
+ AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer to demonstrate proficiency in AWS-based development and integration.
The base pay range for this role is $109,820.00 to $149,600.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
