Job Summary
In this strategic role, you will manage multiple research and development (Research and Development)programs and new product developments simultaneously. This will include new product design as well as ongoing projects for life cycle management linked with primary packaging for injectable medications. You will manage and champion program technology initiatives both internally and externally, align with relevant stakeholders and foster cross functional collaborations. Defining program strategy will be a major responsibility. You will develop and/or work on project plans, generate researchr oadmaps, develop/generate roadmaps for deliverables and author documents in order to track execution of projects to milestones, targeted timelines, and fully execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
+ Lead programs with high resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Solves complex problems withbroad business impact.
+ Manage and oversee the project management activities which may include internal and external partners and technical discussions
+ Build and maintain critical path, milestones, and overall program timeline and budget
+ Manage relationships and coordinate with cross-functional teams and external partners
+ Lead project team meetings and follow up on open action items, seeing them through to completion
+ Create and maintain project documentation to communicate progress
+ Own and communicate documentation and training efforts of key projects to enterprise
+ Initiate project change alerts in the case of delays, changes in scope, or deliverables and communicate risk to the project
+ Facilitate post-program or task reviews as appropriate to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
+ Champion and enable the use of PMO tools within West
+ Foster and encourage shared learnings across projects/ programs
+ Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instructions, and all safety rules
+ Effectively manage a team of process analysts and project coordinators to fulfill resourcing needs of various cross functional projects
+ Other duties as assigned
Education
+ Bachelor's Degree Related field or equivalent technical experience in lieu of degree required
Work Experience
+ Minimum 10 years Experience in Project Management within a matrixed organization required
+ Previous experience in Project Management oriented role with a focus on technology and system implementations preferred
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
+ Highly Proficient in Microsoft Applications, including Power BI, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
+ Experience with HR Systems such as SAP HCM, SuccessFactors, ADP and Ultimate
+ Ability to write routine reports, correspondence and process documents.
+ Works independently with minimal guidance.
+ Ability to speak effectively before groups and employees in the organization.
+ Ability to comply with the company’s safety and quality policy at all times.
Additional Requirements
+ Demonstrated strong project management skills
+ Dependable, detail oriented, able to think creatively under pressure and work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
+ Must be able to communicate effectively with written and oral skills, make quick decisions, interpret data, read and write, speak in front of groups, express and exchange ideas, understand direction and adhere to procedures
+ Successful customer interaction experience
+ SAP and MS Project experience
+ Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
+ Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
+ Organizational skills will enable planning, prioritization and achievement of goals especially of importance for the successful execution of related activities
+ Position operates in a professional office environment. May stand or sit for extended periods of time
+ Read and interpret data, information and documents
+ Must maintain the ability to work well with others in a variety of situations
+ Must be able to multi-task, work under time constraints, problem solve, and prioritize
+ Ability to make independent and sound judgments
+ Observe and interpret situations, analyze and solve problems
+ Able to routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
+ Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description \#LI-JJ1
Travel Requirements
5%: Up to 13 business days per year
Physical Requirements
Sedentary-Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
