Position Information
We are seeking a F inancial Analyst III, who, under direction, assists in the management and deployment of the agency budget. Coordinates legislative analysis, budget preparation, and the forecast of capital assets and operating costs. Develops financial and statistical models, serves as consultant to research units, and provides analysis and reports.
Responsibilities/Essential Duties/Tasks:
• Assists Controller with annual budget process and monitoring of accounts
• Monitors funding for various RFP’s put out by Director’s office, ensuring proper and timely spending
• Prepare and process day to day budget transfers entries as needed.
• Acts as liaison to Project Records for timely close out of accounts
• Oversees Service Centers and annual rate study calculations
• Reconcile and distribute indirect costs to units and other system members
• Monitor Tremendous activity
• Assists in bi-annual development of the Legislative Appropriations Request
• Creates automated reports out of business objects to enhance efficiencies.
• Other duties as assigned by Controller
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience plus an additional five (5) years of related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Working knowledge of FAMIS, USAS, One Stream, AggieBuy, etc.
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Good verbal and written communication skills.

Salary: Compensation for this position is commensurate based on the selected candidate’s qualifications.
Flexible Work Arrangements: Flexible work schedule and remote work may be available for this position, pending employee eligibility requirements are met in accordance with AgriLife Alternate Work Location Procedures.
