Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking for a talented and experienced Frontend Developer to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in crafting intuitive, performant, and visually appealing user interfaces across multiple applications. You will work primarily with modern JavaScript frameworks like Next.js and React, while also contributing to and supporting applications built with PHP (Zend Framework/Laminas) and legacy technologies like Backbone.js. This is a dynamic and collaborative team is responsible for developing and maintaining a diverse portfolio of web applications that are critical to our business operations and user experience. The pay rate ranges from $50-60/hour.

Responsibilities:

Develop, test, and deploy highly responsive and scalable user interfaces using JavaScript frameworks, primarily Next.js and React.

Collaborate closely with product managers, and backend developers to translate design mockups and user stories into functional and engaging web applications.

Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.

Optimize application performance, responsiveness, and scalability across various devices and browsers.

Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and ensuring code quality.

Contribute to the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of existing applications, including those built with PHP (Zend Framework/Laminas) and legacy JavaScript frameworks like Backbone.js.

Debug and troubleshoot complex frontend issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.

Stay up-to-date with the latest frontend technologies, trends, and best practices, and advocate for their adoption where appropriate.

Actively participate in agile ceremonies (e.g., stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).

Proactively identify areas for improvement in our development processes and tools.

Skills and Requirements

3+ years of professional experience as a Frontend Developer.

Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Tailwind CSS, HTML5, and CSS3.

Extensive experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly React.js and Next.js.

Solid understanding of component-based architecture, state management (e.g., Redux, React Context API), and front-end routing.

Experience with build tools such as Webpack, Babel, or Vite.

Proficiency with version control systems, especially Git.

Demonstrable experience working with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.

Ability to write comprehensive unit and integration tests for frontend components.

Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Experience with server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG) in Next.js.

Familiarity with PHP and frameworks like Zend Framework or Laminas.

Exposure to legacy JavaScript frameworks such as Backbone.js.

Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices.

Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). null
