Sponsored Brands (SB) as part of Amazon Advertising org is building world-class brand shopping experiences to define and deliver a collection of brand shopping products that drive long-term customer value. Our team scope is broad and impactful. Our team works on SB Ad Serving services - a low-latency, high TPS, distributed system. These services serve both billions of Amazon shoppers and millions of Advertisers internationally. We are working on multiple cross-org architectural and business projects with highest impact and visibility – all are critical, forward-looking, strategic opportunities for Amazon. As a software developer in this role, you will develop highly scalable service to process millions of requests per day and solve complex software systems problems by leverage state-of-the-art technology like LLMs. You will partner with various engineering and business teams to design, implement and launch personalized ad experiences. You will have the opportunity to use latest technologies used in search / advertising / E-commerce platforms. You will work along with senior and PEs, learn, and grow while making a positive impact on millions of customers.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- Sharp problem solving skills and ability to convert ambiguous requirements to structured solutions and actions
- Experience communicating requirements and technical designs with both technical and non-technical audience including leadership
- Experience with Amazon Web Services, Machine Learning & Advertising is a plus

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
