Description We are looking for an experienced Occupancy Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Hayward, California. This position focuses on affordable housing and requires expertise in Tax Credit programs and compliance. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in property management and tenant application processes.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct interviews with prospective tenants to gather essential information and documents.

• Review and audit tenant applications to ensure all required documentation is complete and accurate.

• Identify and obtain missing documentation to complete tenant applications.

• Prepare and package all necessary application materials for submission.

• Perform detailed income calculations to verify tenant eligibility.

• Ensure compliance with Tax Credit and affordable housing regulations.

• Utilize property management software, such as Yardi, to manage tenant records effectively.

• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants throughout the application and leasing process.

• Stay up-to-date on Fair Housing laws, HUD regulations, and Section 8 program requirements.

• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain accurate and organized records. Requirements • Proven experience in affordable housing and Tax Credit compliance.

• Proficiency in Yardi property management software.

• Strong understanding of Fair Housing laws and regulations.

• Familiarity with HUD guidelines and Section 8 housing programs.

• Ability to perform accurate income verification calculations.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.

• Previous experience working with Low-Income Tax Credit Housing (LITCH). TalentMatch®
