Description We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Natural Bridge Station, Virginia. This role requires a meticulous individual with expertise in financial reporting, cost analysis, and inventory management, particularly within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial data, supporting budgeting processes, and driving efficiency improvements.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, with a focus on manufacturing operations.
• Record and reconcile daily accounting entries for banking, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, production, and inventory.
• Maintain and ensure accuracy in general ledger accounts related to manufacturing transactions.
• Calculate and evaluate product costs, including direct, indirect, and overhead expenses, while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with inventory management teams to ensure accurate reporting and valuation of inventory levels.
• Enter and reconcile payroll data within the general ledger to support job costing activities.
• Assist in developing the annual budget and periodic financial forecasts.
• Analyze budget performance by identifying and explaining variances, ensuring alignment with operational goals.
• Partner with operational teams to integrate financial objectives with business strategies. Requirements • Extensive experience in account reconciliation, journal entries, and month-end closing processes.
• Proficiency in financial systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger maintenance and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Solid understanding of cost analysis principles and inventory management in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and interpret financial statements and reports.
• Experience with payroll reconciliation and job costing.
• Ability to analyze budgeting and forecasting data to identify variances.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments.
