Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Controller for our growing client in Shreveport, Louisiana. This role offers the opportunity to lead financial operations within a fast-paced environment, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.

• Prepare and present timely financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.

• Analyze project costs, profitability, and resource allocation to guide business objectives.

• Implement and maintain job cost tracking systems to monitor construction project performance.

• Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering growth and collaboration.

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry standards.

• Manage internal and external audits, maintaining adherence to all regulatory requirements.

• Identify and execute process improvements to optimize financial workflows.

• Evaluate and implement financial systems to enhance operational efficiency.

• Collaborate with executive leadership to align financial strategies with company goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.

• Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management.

• Proficiency in accounting software systems, such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Viewpoint.

• Strong expertise in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and auditing practices.

• Solid understanding of job costing and project-based financial management.

• Advanced skills in Excel and other financial analysis tools.

• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
