Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Plano, Texas. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing customer accounts, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining the integrity of our credit, billing, cash application, and collection processes. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong accounting background and a passion for optimizing financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile customer account statements to ensure alignment with financial records.

• Analyze billing data to detect and address discrepancies, errors, or anomalies.

• Investigate and resolve customer account issues, providing clear and timely communication.

• Prepare and share monthly account statements with assigned customers.

• Process necessary adjustments such as credit memos, debit memos, sales returns, and price adjustments.

• Record incoming payments daily and allocate them accurately to corresponding invoices.

• Conduct accounts receivable testing in Oracle for ad hoc projects.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance accounts receivable processes.

• Handle month-end accounts receivable tasks, including reserve calculations, revenue accruals, and intercompany reconciliations.

• Support internal and external audit requests by providing required documentation and insights.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Proficiency in account reconciliation and accounts receivable processes.

• Strong skills in billing, cash applications, and collections.

• Experience with accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel.

• Knowledge of credit memo processing and month-end close procedures.

• Familiarity with SOX compliance and public company accounting practices.

• Background in manufacturing or a related industry is preferred.

• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
