Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our client's team based in Vermont. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in managing and maintaining the accuracy of financial records while supporting critical accounting processes. This position requires a strong background in reconciliation, general ledger management, and financial close procedures.
Responsibilities:
• Perform account reconciliations, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations, to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded properly and in a timely manner.
• Prepare and post journal entries to support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Manage fixed asset accounting, including tracking acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation schedules.
• Utilize Sage Intacct to monitor financial data and support accounting operations.
• Conduct currency conversions and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Generate detailed financial reports and analyses to support decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all accounting activities.
• Provide support for audits by preparing necessary documentation and reconciliations.
Requirements • Proven experience in account reconciliation, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entry preparation.
• Proficiency in Sage Intacct and other accounting software.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with complex formulas and data analysis.
• Expertise in fixed asset accounting and currency conversion processes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities for working with cross-functional teams.
