Responsibilities include:

* Obtain medication histories in an accurate, professional and efficient manner for patients newly admitted to the hospital while in the Emergency Department

* Contacting community pharmacies, outpatient providers, and patient family members to obtain needed medication information and coordinate care

* Complete assigned leadership roles in departmental projects and programs

* Performing basic pharmacy technician duties and more advanced pharmacy technician duties

*Experience/Specialized Skills:*

* High school diploma or equivalent.

*Required Certification/Registration:*

* Current Pharmacy Technician License.

* Certification by a National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) required within 6 months of hire.

* Minimum 2 years pharmacy technician experience.

*Required Education/Course(s)/Training:*

* 5 years inpatient experience preferred
