Position
SAS has an opening for a Full-Time Logistics Coordinator (Inbound Material). This person in this position will report to the Operations Planning Manager and will be responsible for overall logistics coordination in order to maximize the process efficiency and productivity. Additionally, the individual in this role will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and decision-making coordination required to support SAS global logistics.
Job Responsibilities
+ Track inventory and orders to include forecasted orders for future supply needs.
+ Coordinate all import shipments.
+ Collaborate with Trade Compliance, Distribution, Finance, Footwear Operations, SAS Subsidiaries, factory vendors, and transportation service providers to support global supply chain execution.
+ Analyze, managing, and planning the company’s PO’s with vendors and import processes to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery.
+ Function as key customer contact for rebilling freight cost
+ Resolve billing issues and ensure that invoicing and payments are billed accurately
+ Research and negotiate carrier rates and resolve billing issues
+ Analyze shipping costs and recommend changes for cost savings
+ Anticipate, identify, and resolve problems which could delay the timely release or movement of freight
+ Prepare accurate reports for upper management
+ Ability to quickly change priorities and adapt in a fast changing environment
+ Prepare weekly reconciliation of shipping costs by line of business
+ Coordinate processes that ensure accurate, timely and compliant movement of products.
+ Receive shipping documents from overseas factories and confirm accurate item, purchase order information.
+ Work closely with transportation providers ensuring efficient and effective execution of defined processes to include:
+ Obtaining shipping space.
+ Confirming shipment ETA’s.
+ Reviewing routing.
+ Confirming shipping lines
+ Dealing with government agencies and port releases.
+ Scheduling delivery appointments.
+ Dispatching orders.
+ Confirming empty container returns.
+ Provide early identification of problem shipments. Communicate/resolve with stakeholders and coordinate/implement solutions
+ Ensure import documentation is submitted to customs brokers for ocean and air shipments.
+ Check status of shipments and ensure customs and freight is cleared.
+ Arrange delivery of shipments from port to warehouse as directed by Procurement - Warehouse Manager.
+ Audit the 7501 Customs entry summary for each assigned shipment. Ensure accuracy of information based on established procedures.
+ Negotiate freight rates with transportation providers, targeting cost reduction, freight savings and service.
+ Plan and managing foreign to foreign order allocation and delivery schedule with 3PL consolidators for APLA footwear & apparel purchase and customer orders.
+ Serve as the main point of contact for parcel courier ship stations and related issues at US SAS HQ office.
+ Audit, research, and approve freight and other related invoice exceptions from logistics service providers in Logistics web resolution portal.
+ Maintain standard operating procedures, work manuals, vendor guides and general Logistics procedure documentation.
+ Keep informed of trade compliance, US Customs regulations and logistics requirements.
Physical Requirements:
+ Must be able to lift 20 lbs.
+ Must be able to complete job responsibilities for up to 8 hours per day.
+ Assist the team on special projects and perform other related duties as needed.

+ Fluent in Spanish (Preferred)
