As a Pharmacy Technician, you’ll be at the heart of our medication fulfillment operations, contributing to both patient care and operational excellence.

    Description

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Prescription Fulfillment (50%)

     

    - Accurately dispense medications using proper handling techniques.

     

    - Package medications according to facility-specific standards.

     

    - Prepare compounded medications and maintain detailed records.

     

    - Generate delivery receipts and ensure all items are accounted for.

     

    - Track monthly accuracy and manage time effectively.

     

    2. Team Collaboration & Cross-Training (15%)

     

    - Support other teams to meet daily goals.

     

    - Learn and assist in areas such as IV prep, returns, and automation.

     

    - Occasionally deliver and set up medication carts at care facilities.

     

    - Participate in field visits to better understand long-term care pharmacy operations.

     

    3. Inventory Oversight (10%)

     

    - Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed.

     

    - Regularly inspect bins and returned items for accuracy and safety.

     

    - Conduct monthly checks for expired medications.

     

    4. Station Preparation (10%)

     

    - Keep workstations stocked with essential supplies.

     

    - Ensure fast-moving items are replenished based on usage thresholds.

     

    5. Cleanliness & Maintenance (5%)

     

    - Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace.

     

    - Dispose of waste and perform weekly sweeping.

     

    6. Unit Dose Packaging (5%)

     

    - Operate and maintain the Euclid packing machine.

     

    - Repackage bulk medications into unit doses.

     

    - Prioritize packaging tasks and verify medication details.

     

    7. Engagement & Improvement (5%)

     

    - Join quality assurance initiatives and departmental meetings.

     

    - Contribute to at least one committee focused on innovation or community outreach.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    Education & Experience:

    High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

     

    Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is a plus.

     

    Internal applicants will be evaluated based on current performance.

    Licensing & Skills:

    Active Ohio Pharmacy Technician Registration.

     

    Steady hands and attention to detail for measuring small liquid doses.

     

    Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

     

    Team-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

     

    Familiarity with medication types and pharmaceutical terminology.

     

    Basic computer proficiency for data entry and label generation.

     

    Reliable attendance and clear communication skills.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr.
