Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

+ As a General Production Worker, you will be responsible for sorting, lifting, catching, and packaging tiles while ensuring quality control.

+ Your tasks will include stacking tiles from a pallet onto a conveyor, cleaning when the line isn't running, sweeping, and spraying the line down with a hose.

+ This is a hands-on role that involves working in a messy environment where you will get wet and dirty.

Responsibilities

+ Sort, lift, catch, and package tiles with a focus on quality control.

+ Stack tiles from a pallet onto a conveyor belt.

+ Clean the work area by sweeping and spraying down lines with a hose.

+ Perform repetitive movements such as twisting, bending, kneeling, and crouching.

+ Regularly lift and move objects up to 50 pounds during shifts.

+ Count tiles accurately in stacks of ten as part of packaging.

Essential Skills

+ Previous experience in general production, assembly, packaging, and inspection.

+ Experience in a manufacturing environment with large machines and equipment.

+ Ability to solve practical problems using logic and work independently under supervision.

+ Strong attendance record, reliability, and performance.

+ Comfortable with getting dirty in the work environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in an old industrial environment is beneficial.

+ Ability to work in a physically demanding role with constant repetitive movements.

+ Capability to work in hot conditions around kilns.

Work Environment

+ The facility is an old industrial building with large, dusty equipment, and can be intimidating in appearance.

+ The role is very hands-on and involves getting dirty, with dirt and glaze on clothes, and the possibility of getting wet from cleaning lines with a hose.

+ The environment is dusty, necessitating the use of face masks in certain areas due to silica exposure, and employees will be fitted for a respirator.

+ Working around kilns, it gets very hot, adding to the challenging conditions of the job.

Job Type & Location

+ This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane Valley, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
