    Job Title: Wastewater Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking two dedicated PCQA Utility Technicians for our team. This role involves inspecting and testing coils, managing the coil treatment process, and ensuring compliance with PH permit limits. Candidates must be comfortable learning and executing multiple tasks and will be responsible for maintaining the quality of electric galvanized coatings and managing the coil production line.

    Responsibilities

    + Inspect and test coils for quality assurance.

    + Create and manage baths for coil treatment.

    + Ensure water treatment stays within PH permit limits.

    + Load and unload filters, and operate forklifts.

    + Turn valves and pumps on and off as needed.

    + Process and document coil quality, focusing on thickness and coating.

    + Communicate effectively with the production team regarding coil issues.

    + Perform various tests on coils as per customer specifications.

    + Monitor coil production and call out any defects such as tears, stains, or dents.

    + Maintain and adjust production lines based on coil quality.

    Essential Skills

    + 3-5 years of experience as a wastewater technician.

    + Understanding of PH scales.

    + Experience with pumps and valves, including operating and adjusting flow.

    + Experience working with chemicals.

    + High School Diploma or GED.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Mechanical aptitude.

    + Experience with wastewater treatment and water systems.

    + Proficiency with power tools.

    + Understanding of chemical handling.

    Work Environment

     

    This role operates in a non-union environment with shifts available in the late afternoon and overnight hours, specifically 2nd shift (3:00pm - 11:00pm) and 3rd shift (11:00pm - 7:00am). Candidates should expect to work 5 days a week with potential for 10-hour shifts and voluntary overtime on Saturdays. Overtime is compensated at 1.5x after 8 hours daily and all day on Saturday, with double time after 12 hours daily. This position requires adaptability to different shifts based on performance and team needs.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Walbridge, Ohio.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
