Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

As a CNC Machinist, you will operate a vertical milling machine, utilizing your expertise in G-Code for programming and editing CNC operations. Your role will involve producing high-quality parts and components by programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and safety. You will be responsible for editing existing G-Codes and may also perform light maintenance and upkeep on machines.

Responsibilities

+ Operate vertical milling machines.

+ Edit and understand G-Code for programming CNC operations.

+ Perform tooling changes as required.

+ Maintain high accuracy and safety standards during machine operations.

+ Conduct light maintenance and upkeep on machines when necessary.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in operating vertical mills.

+ Proficiency in editing and understanding G-Code.

+ Ability to perform tooling changes effectively.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience in maintenance and upkeep of machinery.

+ Capability to set up and tear down machine operations.

Work Environment

You will work in a heavy manufacturing environment, primarily on the 2nd shift, with flexible start times between 3:00pm - 11:00pm or 4:00pm - 12:00am.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Benton Harbor, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $31.00/hr.
