    The Equipment Project Engineer is responsible for implementing business initiatives for manufacturing lines. Data is analyzed with multi-functional partners and the engineer implements improvements. They will execute projects at the manufacturing site and act as an integral part of the Johnson & Johnson production system implementation.     Key Responsibilities:

    + Plan, conduct, and execute engineering projects with the utilization of automated equipment (HMIs, PLCs, vision systems).

    + Apply comprehensive and diverse knowledge of engineering principles and practices within broad assignment areas and coordinate activities of technical support staff as needed.

    + Lead software and automation activities on high complexity and integrated automated packaging lines utilizing PLC program/software (Allen Bradley) to debug line performance, uptime and other equipment failure issues.

    Qualifications:

    Education:

    + Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related scientific/technical field **required**

    Skills & Experience:

    Required:

    + Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience

    + Manufacturing industry experience within a regulated environment

    + Experience with PLCs **and** vision systems **required;** robotics experience is a **plus**

    + Excellent interpersonal and communication and skills, with the ability to function in a team-based manufacturing environment

    + Proven proficiency in the analytical skills and professional judgment required to resolve major technical issues

    Preferred:

    + Medical Device or Pharmaceutical industry experience

    + Demonstrated ability to deliver effective presentations to management, and prepare project plans while identifying and understanding the interrelationships of related fields and key activities

    + Experience writing formal reports involving both technical and business implications (such as validation protocols, equipment/quality investigations, etc.)

    + Knowledge of FDA, BSI, ISO, and/or GMP requirements

    + Lean/Six Sigma principles experience or knowledge

    Other:

    + **Requires** up to 10% travel, domestic and international

    + **Requires** ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation, including after-hours, weekends, or on-call as needed or on a rotational-basis
