    Position: Document Imaging Specialist I

     

    Compensation: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour

     

    Status: Part-Time (up to 25 hours per week)

     

    Category: Non-Exempt

     

    Shift: 9:30am - 4:30pm

     

    Reports to: Senior Director of Business Enterprise

    Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified Document Imaging Specialist I to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for scanning microfiche and microfilm documents into digital form. This role requires careful handling of fragile microfilm and microfiche materials and may also include the scanning of paper documents. The candidate must be detail-oriented, able to work independently, and committed to ensuring high-quality, accurate digital images.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Operate microfilm and microfiche scanners to convert documents into digital form.

    + Perform daily checks of scanning equipment and settings to ensure proper functioning.

    + Follow production procedures, complete internal documentation, and track project progress.

    + Handle microfiche and microfilm with extreme care to maintain document integrity.

    + Align all scans with proper orientation and clarity according to project specifications.

    + Review each scanned image to ensure it meets quality standards.

    + Accurately record hourly and daily production data.

    + View films and images for extended periods of time while scanning.

    + Rework sub-quality scans to meet quality and project standards.

    + Maintain productivity levels and quality based on project requirements.

    + Ensure confidentiality and security of all scanned materials.

    + Take on additional responsibilities and duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

    + High school diploma or GED required.

    + Proficient in using computers and related products.

    + Prior experience with microfilm, microfiche, or document scanning is a plus but not required.

    + Familiarity with computers, scanners, and related office equipment.

    + Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.

    + Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

    + Excellent organizational skills and ability to stay on task.

    + Good communication skills to interact effectively with coworkers and management.

    + Ability to work assigned shift schedule and meet production goals.

    + Maintain confidentiality and security of information

    + Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.

    + Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no more than three suspensions or points in the past three years).
