    Job Summary

    The Director, Process Improvement leads the development and implementation of process improvement strategies and initiatives across the organization to enhance quality outcomes, operational efficiency, and financial performance. This role partners with hospital and regional leadership to develop skills in process improvement methodologies and supports the execution of targeted initiatives. The Director serves as a corporate resource and mentor for performance improvement, fostering collaboration and the adoption of evidence-based best practices.

    Essential Functions

    + Develops and implements a practical process improvement curriculum to support the skill development of regional and hospital leadership teams.

    + Leads strategic planning efforts and ensures alignment with organizational goals, focusing on revenue enhancement, profitability, and quality outcomes.

    + Provides consultation and mentorship to hospital and corporate teams in the development, implementation, and evaluation of process improvement programs.

    + Researches and establishes evidence-based practice standards, best practices, and outcome metrics to support hospital and system-wide initiatives.

    + Collaborates with corporate and hospital leadership, service line directors, and quality leaders to improve operations and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

    + Facilitates and leads process improvement initiatives, including value stream mapping, rapid improvement events, and metrics analysis to identify areas for operational and financial improvement.

    + Oversees the efficiency and effectiveness of team efforts in achieving performance improvement objectives and goals.

    + Serves as a subject matter expert and resource for hospital markets and quality leaders, providing guidance on process implementation and evaluation.

    + Performs other duties as assigned.

    + Complies with all policies and standards.

    Qualifications

    + Master's Degree in Nursing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required

    + Actively enrolled in a relevant Master’s degree program may be considered

    + 5-7 years of experience in process improvement with a focus on value stream mapping, rapid improvement events, and financial outcome reporting required

    + 3-6 years of management experience with direct report responsibilities required

    + Experience in multiple healthcare settings or systems with diverse operational sites preferred

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    + Expertise in process improvement methodologies, including Lean and Six Sigma.

    + Strong knowledge of computer systems, information management, and data analysis.

    + Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and project management skills.

    + Proven ability to mentor and develop staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

    + Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear, actionable manner.

    + Strong analytical skills with a focus on driving measurable outcomes.

    Licenses and Certifications

    + Six Sigma Green Belt Certification required

    + Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
