Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Python Backend Service Developer to join the Emerging Technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and secure backend services and APIs using Python. The role involves collaboration with front-end developers, data engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver seamless and efficient solutions that will drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Develop and maintain backend services and applications using Python and related frameworks.

+ Design and implement RESTful APIs to support front-end functionalities.

+ Integrate third-party services and APIs.

+ Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and refine requirements.

+ Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

+ Debug and resolve technical issues and production incidents.

+ Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

+ Integrate user-facing elements using server-side logic.

+ Create or modify databases to improve functionality and integrate data storage solutions as needed.

+ Develop tools and processes to monitor service activity.

Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

+ Proficiency in Python programming language with 3 years’ experience as a Python developer.

+ Strong knowledge of Python and related frameworks with a focus on optimization and scalability.

+ A deep understanding and multi-process architecture and the threading limitations of Python.

+ Familiarity with server-side templating and ability to integrate multiple data sources.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

+ Knowledge of security standards and best practices to be followed in Python programming.

+ Familiarity with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

+ Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, including version control systems such as Git
