    We are looking for a Systems Development Engineer to join us on our journey to make it drastically easier for customers to find, choose, afford, and engage with the services, products, and professionals they need to get and stay healthy!

     

    Key job responsibilities

    - Have a complete understanding of the various system interdependence and limitations

     

    - General Maintenance & Enhancements – Manage day to day operational requirements, while scoping, implementing and executing instance iterations as business needs arise.

     

    - Automate common tasks, such as monitoring, patching, and scaling

     

    - Identify security issues and risks, and develop mitigation plans to keep the platform current, secure, and healthy

     

    - Architect, design, implement, support, and evaluate secure, infrastructure focused tools and services

     

    - Participate in security compliance efforts and reviews

     

    - Understand business context to decisions made within and across groups

     

    - Support critical infrastructure services

     

    - Participate in 24x7 on call rotation

     

    - Create easily understood documentation for teammates and security teams

     

    - AWS or Azure experience is a plus to deliver a secure, scalable and sustainable cloud platform.

     

    On-Call Responsibility

     

    This position involves on-call responsibilities, typically for one week every month, for high-severity events related to critical components of our services and systems. We do not like getting paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our systems are fault tolerant. When we do get paged, we work together to resolve the root cause so that we do not get paged for the same issue twice.

    Basic Qualifications

    - 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

     

    - 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

     

    - 7+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience

     

    - Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)

     

    - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

     

    - 4+ years of programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby experience

     

    - Experience leading the design, build and deployment of complex and performant (reliable and scalable) software solutions in production

     

    - Experience in the building of information security as a core competency throughout our relationships with our internal teams/partners/vendor; this includes designing the right level of data movements, and providing education and training to the organization

     

    - Experience processes/technologies to establish rules to protect data moving across the enterprise.

     

    - Implementation knowledge on M365 and Health Care Systems will be plus

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology

    - Experience with PowerShell (preferred), Python, Ruby, or Java

    - Knowledge and/or experience in one or more of the following: · Knowledge of Microsoft Infrastructure architecture such as SQL, Active Directory, .NET · MCSA, MCSD, and/or MCSE · AWS Certified Solution Architect - Associate

     

    - Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and live site operations

     

    - Experience taking a leading role in building complex software or computing infrastructure that has been successfully delivered to customers
