Project Kuiper is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. In this role, the individual will have direct responsibility for all initiatives assigned and the end-to-end planning and implementation. You are responsible for the initiative health and successful launch in adherence with the org's goals and commitments. The Kuiper Workplace Operations Strategy & Planning Manager will be the programmatic liaison between a multitude of stakeholders including Kuiper Business Leadership, Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF), WHS, Finance and many more.
This role requires a strategic leader who can prioritize competing initiatives while driving effective solutions across teams, processes, and systems. The ideal candidate must seamlessly operate at both strategic and tactical levels, serving as an ambassador, educator, and implementer. Success demands strong analytical skills, workspace expertise, and exceptional communication abilities, all while thriving in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities
Key job responsibilities
• Lead the creation and execution of go-to-market strategies for new site launches, including workspace analysis, and implementation roadmaps while managing cross-functional teams to develop and execute project timelines that meet critical business needs
• Launch programs, monitor performance metrics, and report on the status of key objectives that affect deliverables while conducting deep dives with stakeholder Subject Matter Expert (SME) inputs to solve complex problems that pose risk to project delivery and key milestones.
• Partner with stakeholder teams in identifying opportunities to reduce spend in assigned programs through analysis of available assets, business needs, and returns on investment through data-driven insights and strategic recommendations
• Create and present executive-level reports and presentations on business performance, program dynamics, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership
• Use data to understand operational challenges and create continuous improvement initiatives including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve project/ program management efficiency
• +/-15% travel required

A day in the life
As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and improving initiatives that ensure the smooth running of our operations. You’ll work closely with a range of Amazon colleagues to understand how they work, and what you and your teams can learn, as well as sharing your own expertise. Together, you’ll identify exciting new opportunities and will take the lead when it comes to designing their implementation.
You’ll encourage and support your teams and colleagues to meet important deliverables, while proactively looking for new, data-backed ways we could do things better. Your work will be integral to your team’s succes
About the team
The Kuiper Workplace Operations (KWO) team manages construction projects, workspace strategy, lab environment programming, and facilities operations for Project Kuiper. Our mission is to optimize all Facilities operations within Kuiper environments to support high-velocity satellite production.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 7+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 7+ years of program or project management experience
- 7+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA
- PMP certificate
- Experience delivering projects within scope, time, budget and quality
- 7+ years of developing program strategies and plans, diving execution, and influencing senior stakeholders experience through data driven insights
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
