    We are looking for you to join our team as a **Manager Engineering 3** based out of **Salt Lake City, Utah** .

    What you'll get to do:

    + Communicate both written and verbally presenting to executive leaders, peers, and other functions as well as all levels throughout their own organization.

    + Recruit, retain, coach, and empower leaders to develop a high performing and collaborative team.

    + Collaborate with all functions within Manufacturing as well as Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, Program Office, and Business Management to meet common goals.

    + Establish and promote an environment that supports early collaboration on designs with Engineering counterparts. Drive for optimal producibility and testability of all designs.

    + Responsible to develop and execute strategic roadmaps for Salt Lake City manufacturing and test strategies for the future and associate capital projects to support those roadmaps.

    + Foster a culture of Continuous Improvement across the organization, provide guidance on project identification and overcoming challenges to complete.

    + Setting a standard of excellence with respect to process discipline. Ensuring all employees are trained and understand the importance of following all established processes.

    + Understand key financial metrics, what impacts them, and how to drive an organization to meet these metrics in a constantly evolving environment.

    + Solve technical problems with strong understanding of program and technical needs to ensure solutions are supporting business objectives.

    + Provide structure and framework enabling team to be successful in overcoming technical issues.​

    + Guide technical and business process investigations and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA).

     

    The Salt Lake City facility specializes in production of high performing navigation and inertial measurement systems. In this role, you will lead a multi-disciplined team of approximately 30 engineers across our Instruments and Systems factory. This consists of Reliability Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering, Systems Engineering, Optical Engineering, and others.

    Basic Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or related technical field with a minimum of 8 years of experience; 6 years of experience with Master's Degree.

    + 4 years of direct people leadership and management experience in related field.

    + Experience working across multiple disciplines (design, manufacturing and test engineering) with a focus on product development and producibility.

    + Experience with financial management including project & process control, budgets, Earned Value, and Project Management.

    + US Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Test Engineering

    + Experience with ISO9001/AS9100

    + Experience with Six Sigma tools (ex. Green Belt, Black Belt)

    + Experience leading teams in production environment

     

    Salary Range: $146,800.00 - $220,200.00

     

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
