This posting is for an Administrative Associate II located in the Division 9 Davidson County Maintenance Unit. This position will provide office administrative support to multiple maintenance staff. This position requires a high degree of accuracy and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office environment. Duties include typing forms, correspondence, computer data entry, filing, copying, creating and maintaining miscellaneous reports with Microsoft Excel. As well as assisting the public with inquiries or problems by telephone or email and directing inquiries to the correct contact. Additional duties of this position include data entry and transfer of weekly payroll utilizing SAP/BEACON operating systems. Process monthly reports in SAP and Microsoft Excel along with other general office duties as assigned. POS# 60020690.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

Additional Expectations:
Selected Applicant must possess knowledge of general office procedures and record keeping. Must be able to use a Windows-based computer with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Applicants should communicate with proper grammar, punctuation, and correct spelling in verbal and written communication. Must establish and maintain effective working relationships with the general public, co-workers, government officials and contractors or vendors. A basic understanding of accounting principles and procedures is preferred. Applicant must have the ability to maintain and manage multiple projects. Must be available to work after hours during emergency situations such as hurricanes, tropical storms, snow and ice events as needed.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and (1) one year of administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
