Job Title: Civil EngineerJob Description

A growing civil engineering firm based in Utah is seeking a Civil Engineer EIT with expertise in municipal water design or treatment. The role involves designing projects for cities, including the provision of potable water, wastewater and sewage disposal, and flood prevention. This position also requires preparing environmental documentation for water resources, ensuring regulatory program compliance, and conducting data management, analysis, and fieldwork.

Responsibilities

+ Design municipal water systems, including culinary and sewer water treatment.

+ Prepare environmental documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.

+ Perform hydraulic modeling and pipeline design.

+ Design domestic or industrial water or wastewater treatment plants with advanced facilities, such as sequencing batch reactors (SBR), membranes, lift stations, and ultraviolet disinfection systems.

+ Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other water modeling software.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with municipal water design or treatment.

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

+ Strong communication and teamwork skills.

+ Ability to present designs to mayors and the public.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with advanced water treatment facilities such as surge overflow basins, aerobic digesters, sludge lagoons, or control buildings.

+ EIT certification.

Work Environment

The role is preferred to be in-office five days a week, from 8 am to 5 pm, with hourly pay and overtime compensation at 1.5x. Offices are located in Ogden, Salt Lake, Midvale, or Springville, with hybrid work arrangements possible for the right candidate. The firm emphasizes work-life balance, aiming for a 40-hour workweek. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.21 - $36.00/hr.
