Position Summary:
The Jr. Credit Risk Analyst meets with Relationship Analysts and/or Bankers on a daily basis to prepare credit proposals that are presented to the corresponding credit committee and approved on a daily basis. The Credit Risk Analyst collaborates with Marketing, Operations and Compliance Department as necessary. The Credit Risk Analyst reviews regular credit documentation on approved credits proposals.
The Jr. Credit Risk Analyst assist in the review and follow up of credit monitoring of BSI portfolio, in alignment with 1LoD to reduce delinquency ratios. The Credit Risk Analyst may collaborates in different projects such as weekly reports, PowerPoint presentations, and other. The Credit Risk Analyst must be highly analytical with advanced skills in excel, highly proactive, organized and demonstrate ability to achieve efficient and productive results.
The Jr. Credit Risk Analyst reports to the Credit Risk Director.
Position Duties / Responsibilities:
• The Junior Credit Analyst will receive training and mentorship for several months to learn how to prepare simpler credit proposals in accordance with BSI's policies and procedures.
• Meet daily with relationship analysts and/or bankers to understand client needs.
• Interact daily with various departments (operations, compliance, marketing, etc.) to gather accurate information for proposals or projects.
• Prepare and present credit proposals to the relevant credit committee.
• The Jr. Credit Analyst reviews standard credit documents once a credit proposal is approved and may assist in preparing or reviewing documents with modifications under supervision.
• May assist with credit monitoring tasks, including margin calls, past dues, overdrafts, and expired lines of credit.
• Help download necessary reports with supervision.
• Participate in projects focused on process automation.
Derivatives:
• The Junior Credit Analyst will receive training and mentorship to monitor activities in financial derivatives, aiming to minimize the company's risk exposure.
• Responsibilities may include preparing presentations and reports related to quantitative analysis, risk identification, and remediation.
Market, Liquidity, and Structural Fiduciary Risk:
• The Junior Credit Analyst will be trained and mentored to handle daily procedures and download necessary reports.
**Education:** Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience
Business Experience:
0 - 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated required level of proficiency
Specialized and/or Technical Knowledge
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word
• Basic understanding of financial products such as Bonds, Stocks, ETFs and Mutual Funds
• Basic to intermediate presentation skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proactive, organized, and analytical skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize activities, manage conflicts of interest, meet deadlines while working in a fast paced environment
• Ability to achieve efficient and productive results by working together with different departments
Languages:
English and Spanish (both fluent in verbal & written)
Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occasional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown. Physically capable of lifting up to fifty pounds, able to bend, kneel, climb ladders.

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
Salary: $48,750 - $83,000/year
