Job Summary and Qualifications

Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse

Utilizes therapeutic communication in daily practice. Maintains a safe therapeutic environment. Identifies nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient. Registered Nurse plans individualized patient care while utilizing an interdisciplinary approach. Participates in performance improvement activities. Provides care and coordinates participation that fosters the goals of the hospital’s mission and vision statement.

What you will do in this role:

+ As Cardiovascular Catheterization Lab Nurse, you are responsible and accountable for the delivery of individualized nursing care to adult patients having cardiac catheterization procedures as well as care for patients having specialized radiology procedures. This includes both the prep and recovery of these patients.

+ You are responsible for specialized cardiac tests performed on adult as well as pediatric patients.

+ You will monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.

+ You will maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.

+ You will record patients' medical information and vital signs and any other patient care.

+ You will modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.

+ You will prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments.

What qualifications you will need:

+ Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

+ (RN) Registered Nurse

+ Associate Degree

+ Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor, or CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

+ At least 2 years of experience as a critical care nurse (ICU/ER)
