About the Role: Head of North America Sell-Side Financial Institutions, Data and Research Sales
The Team:
The Data & Research business line comprises Capital IQ Solutions and our data assets, including Visible Alpha, After Market Research, Industry and Company data, Sustainability data on Capital IQ and Pronto. This role is reporting into the North America Head of Financial Institutions D&R Sales.
Responsibilities and Impact:
+ Develop and implement sales strategies for the Data & Research business line, aligning with company objectives to drive growth in the North America region.
+ Exceed new business target through new customer acquisition and greenfield sales (add-ons, expansion opportunities, upsells).
+ Manage new business sales for all Sell-Side clients within North America, including Strategic Bulge Bracket Banks, Investment Banks, Commercial & Regional Banks.
+ Lead and enable a high-performing sales team, fostering regional and global collaboration across sales, marketing, product, and other internal stakeholders.
+ Ability to hire and to build a customer of sales excellence in the North America region.
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers in the region, regulators and industry groups across North America.
+ Drive revenue growth through strategic partnerships (third parties, where applicable) and new market opportunities.
+ Collaborate with product teams to innovate and influence the development of new data products and services that are applicable to the North America customer base.
+ Oversee monthly revenue forecasting and budgeting processes to exceed new business targets.
+ Collaborate with the North American account management team to drive overall net growth in the region.
**Compensation/Benefits Information:** (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $124,192 to $244,700. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

What We Are Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
+ Master’s degree in business, management or a related field or equivalent experience.
+ Extensive experience in public and private markets, financial data and research, as well as selling into Sell-Side firms.
+ Proven track record in developing and leading sales teams and executing sales plans in the North America region.
+ Strong financial acumen and the ability to manage aggressive targets, along with a track record of delivering revenue results.
Key Soft Skills:
+ Executive presence with outstanding poise in fast-paced and demanding environments.
+ Ability to connect with c-level executives and to represent our North American Data & Research franchise in the region.
+ Passion for AI and data transformation for financial firms.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
+ Strategic thinker with the ability to influence and drive innovation.
+ Leadership qualities that promote a culture of partnership, curiosity, inclusiveness, trust and productivity.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
+ Over 15 years of experience within sales leadership in the data, research, financial services and/or buy-side segment.
+ Demonstrated success in selling data, research and technology.
+ Strong analytical mindset with a commercial focus.
+ Prior experience in the financial services industry and most importantly with North America sales leadership experience, with up-to-date knowledge of relevant market trends.
