Job Summary
The MAP Project Coordinator (MPC) is a pivotal leader responsible for the strategic management and day-to-day operations of the Title IV-E Child Welfare Education and Training project. This critical initiative is a collaborative, multi-institutional academic partnership between MDCPS and seven other state-supported Institutions of Higher Learning (IHLs), dedicated to developing and enhancing education and training for those serving or preparing to serve Mississippi's most vulnerable children and families. The MPC drives project objectives through robust data collection, analysis, and reporting, ensuring effective assessment and continuous improvement.This role cultivates and maintains vital relationships with MDCPS, IHL representatives, community partners, and students, acting as the primary point of communication and coordination. Beyond operational excellence, the MPC is instrumental in securing additional funding and expanding MAP's reach through consultation and technical assistance, ultimately maximizing the project’s statewide impact.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
+ Lead the overall management and operations of the education and training project, including developing and implementing its policies and procedures.
+ Facilitate and support ongoing research and evaluation activities with the state agency and other IHLs to assess project objectives, including data collection, analysis, and dissemination.
+ Cultivate and maintain collaborative relationships with MDCPS, community partners and providers, and other IHL institutions.
+ Manage all non-financial project records, ensuring the security of documents, data, and correspondence.
+ Provide assistance with the supervision of graduate assistants assigned to the project.
+ Contribute to the creation and submission of funder reports.
+ Support the expansion of MAP consultation and technical assistance services within and beyond MDCPS.
+ Participate in all relevant USM and MAP meetings concerning project implementation, data collection, analysis, and dissemination.
+ Utilize various computer programs for project monitoring, data reporting, and external communications.
+ Promote research activities through speaking engagements, public presentations, and written correspondence to maintain a professional image.
Minimum Qualifications
Masters Degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university and a licensure at the Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) level. Must have previous experience working with externally funded projects and be willing to do local and out-of-state travel. Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen and physical assessment.

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office.
+ Demonstrates strong organizational skills, manages conflict, maintains confidentiality, and works effectively independently or in a team under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
Licensed at the Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW) level. Previous experience presenting and publishing from externally funded projects and experience as a coordinator of externally funded projects.
