The Georgia Technology Authority (GTA) is currently seeking a Systems Administrator – in the Information Technology Division
The Georgia Technology Authority (GTA) currently manages the delivery of IT infrastructure services to 89 Executive Branch agencies and managed network services to more than 1,200 state and local government entities. IT infrastructure services encompass mainframes, servers, service desk, end user computing, disaster recovery and security. Managed network services include the state’s wide and local area networks, voice, cable and wiring, and conferencing services.

JOB SUMMARY:
Under limited supervision will be responsible for analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate business processes, upgrade or modify existing systems and review system-wide capabilities, workflow and scheduling limitations. Manages all agency issued cell phones, including procurement, surplus/disposal, inventory, escalations, billing and refresh.
Responsibilities –
• Serve as lead for system implementations, upgrades and maintenance activities as needed for the EUC Projects.
• Works with business owners to gather, document and maintain requirements.
• Translates business requirements into functional specifications and designs.
• Serves as a liaison between end-users and Service Providers
• Test new functionality, installations, or upgrades
• Train end user staff
• Submit and track service requests as appropriate.
• Communicate updates with respective staff as appropriate
• Assist end users in procuring EUC devices
• Participate in training sessions related to processes and procedures.
• Participate in test pilot groups and assist in acquiring testers for various technology initiatives.
• Assess technology initiatives and EUC issues to assist end users.
• Review and evaluate detailed monthly mobile device bill for errors
• Maintain inventory system and perform audits
• Okta email administration and support
• End user software license tracking
• Maintain active directory administration and maintenance
• Conduct analysis, including planning, designing, and evaluating a variety of information technology tools
• Manage work tickets within the internal ticketing system
• Participate in IT projects to drive technological efficiencies
• Mobile device support
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

AGENCY SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
Eight (8) years of experience in multiple areas of information technology OR Bachelor’s degree in a related field and four (4) years in multiple areas of information technology

Preferred Qualifications
(Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate some or all of the following skills/experience):
• Experience with managing technology assets
• Experience gathering requirements from business owners or end users
• Experience creating spreadsheets detailing asset information
• Experience testing new software
• Experience with Power-shell scripting and/or Python
• Experience with Okta
• Experience with Apple Business Manager
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
OFFICE LOCATION/WORKER TYPE/ COMPENSATION/ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
Office Location: 47 Trinity Ave, Atlanta GA
Worker Type: Hybrid – (in-office: 2-3 days per week)
Target Hiring Salary Range: * $70,800.00 – $91,000.00
*Current Georgia state government employees will be subject to SPB rule provisions.
